Horizon Foods is a B2C company that delivers gourmet frozen foods via a fleet of independent distributors. This newsletter, published quarterly, was designed to engage their customer base with friendly, playful, and helpful information such as cooking tips and interactive surveys. The newsletter was personalized for each subscriber using dynamic content, which replaced the photo at the upper left with the photo and contact information of each subscriber's distributor. This allowed their customers to feel more personally connected to the company, as the publication came from the same person that delivered to their door. Small touches, such as a seasonally appropriate banner illustration, made each issue visually unique and encouraged the customers' engagement on an ongoing basis.
