Marshall Rosenthal Account Executive
Marshall Rosenthal joined MK Communications in October 2001. He brought
with him a wealth of experience in public affairs, including education
and economic development. He came to those arenas following a distinguished
career as a journalist in broadcasting and print.
Marshall has served as Director of Communications for Evanston/Skokie
School District 65, where he was responsible for the Chicago suburban
districts internal and external communications, and community, government
and media relations.
Previously, he was Public Information Officer and Communications Division
Manager of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs,
the states lead economic development agency, reporting to the department
director and the Governors press secretary.
During a 25-year career as a Chicago journalist, Marshall was honored
with two Emmy awards as a news producer and writer at NBC Channel 5 News
and CBS Channel 2 News. Previously, he was a reporter for the Chicago
Daily News, a correspondent for Rolling Stone, a columnist for the Chicago
Reader, and an editor and columnist for The Chicagoan magazine.
Marshall served on the faculty of the UCLA Graduate School of Business.
He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Michigan State University
and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from DePaul University in Chicago.
Born at the Jane Addams Housing Project and educated in the Chicago public
schools, Marshall now resides in Evanston, near the Northwestern University
campus.
